CLAY STORIES with Maria Moldovan Saturday September 15, 2018 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This Ceramic workshop will explore the creative process for building a ceramic sculpture. It will also touch on a variety of hand building techniques.
The main character of your sculpture will be an imaginary or real animal figure combined with two other elements, creating a dialog and a story.
Please plant the seed of ideas in your mind before you come to this workshop. Thinks of imaginary narratives, ideas, dream-like thoughts, dream-like & weird associations.
The finishing process will include some inlaid line techniques on the leather hard pieces. A demonstration of finishing with under-glazes and glazes will be presented as well.
This workshop is intended for intermediate and advanced potters with some experience in hand-building. Your creations will be bisqued fired for you and ready to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.
