Make your pots hard to resist! This hands-on workshop is intended to introduce you to the basic techniques of shellac resist. Barbara will explain the properties and limits of shellac resist. You will learn how to apply and work with shellac to create "etched" designs on your bone dry pot surfaces. You will also explore adding colour to your etched layers to create both relief and colour layers.
If you can, bring in one or two reasonably sized bone dry pieces to work on. We will have greenware tiles available for you to use as well. Your creations will be clear glazed & fired for you and ready to be picked up 2-4 weeks after the workshop.
