Experimenting with form and function is what makes pottery interesting, in both large, bold shapes and the little details. I’m now working on more experimental but still functional pieces, with strong sculptural profiles and clean lines. I am still amazed at how glazes can create another feature to enjoy beyond the functional. Each piece is thrown on the wheel and embraces the beauty in imperfection. Every creation is unique and embodies its own personality. My work features a range of natural colours and textures from the use of a variety of stoneware and porcelain clays.
