Winter 2024 Handbuilding: Sculpture 1 (Jan-Feb)

In this course you will learn how to transform basic shapes and handbuilding methods into imaginative 3D forms. We will focus on the method of handbuilding that can involve making coils, draping, cutting slabs or pinching pots. How you arrange these together will result in a sculpture that expresses your own a specific narrative content.
Projects will be geared to the student’s experience level. In order for your success, we recommend having taken a minimum of 2 Handbuilding Class.
Come challenge your imagination!
Please note that all materials and tools will be provided.
We do not provide aprons so please bring one or dress in clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You may also want to bring a towel for your hands.
The class duration is 2.5 hour, clean up is included in this time.
It is open to all adults and teenagers from ages 15 and up.
