Let There Be Lamp - Throwing Tall: 3 Day Intensive with Emily Dore

DATES: July 25, 26 & 27, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

This focused three-day wheel intensive is all about exploring the technical and aesthetic challenges of throwing large vessels in one piece, with an emphasis on creating bold, statement forms — including tall vases and sculptural lamp bases.

This is not a beginner intensive and is intended for Intermediate Level students who can consistently throw 2.5kg in a cylinder form. If you are unsure if your level will be suitable for this class, please reach out to us at the studio. 

At the end of this intensive you can expect to make 1-2 large lamp base or sculptural forms. Pieces will be bisque fired and ready for pick-up in 3-4 weeks.

• Attendance to one of our Glazy Day Classes, please let us know which date works for you. (Jul 19, Aug 15 & Sep 20)
• 1 10kg bag of clay of your choice, additional clay can be purchased
• Optional open studio time from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. to work on your pieces independently. Non-Members can purchase hours at our open studio rates.
