My love of clay started when I was a young kid. I can vividly remember begging my Grandma (an accomplished potter) for a piece of clay to play with. I loved making little animals!
It wasn’t until much later that I signed up for my first real pottery class. I was hooked right from the start.
What I like about clay is that is seems to have a mind of its own. No matter how much you plan, it always seems to want to take you in another direction. With time you learn to control the beast but pottery has taught me to let go of the trivial things, to relax, go with the flow and have faith that things will turn out the way they are supposed to.
