To register for this class you must have taken at least two beginner wheel class. You should be able to center consistently without assistance and have a clear understanding of the steps involved in throwing a cylinder or bowl and be ready to practice what you have learned. You will develop and refine your skills in wedging clay, centering, pulling then later trimming, making and attaching handles. The aim towards the end of this class is for you to start to have enough control of the clay that you make the shapes you intend to.
You will be introduced to simple but effective surface decorating techniques and methods of choosing and applying glazes. Our classes are intended for adults and youth aged 15+.
Please note that all materials and tools will be provided. We do not provide aprons so please bring one or dress in clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We also recommend bringing a small towel for your hands.
The class duration is 2.5 hour, clean up is included in this time.
