This eight-month ceramics mentorship with Carolynne Pynn Trudeau presents a meaningful opportunity to explore the space between where your work is today and where you want it to go.
Through small-group instruction, independent exploration, regular mentorship, technical troubleshooting, and thoughtful critique, the mentorship provides space to explore ideas, challenge familiar approaches, refine your skills, and develop work that more closely reflects your creative vision.

Wheel for Beginners
Meet the wheel. Stay a while.
There’s a moment on the wheel where things start to click—where your hands begin to understand what your brain has been trying to tell them. This intensive is designed to get you there.
Over three consecutive days, participants spend dedicated time at the wheel building foundational skills through guided practice and repetition. You’ll focus on centering, forming, and refining essential shapes—working through the process multiple times so adjustments can be made in real time.
As forms begin to feel more consistent, you’ll move into keeping pieces, refining them through trimming, and finishing with simple surface decoration.
Architectural Lamps
Light meets clay in this two-day intensive focused on the design and construction of contemporary architectural lamps.
This workshop explores lamps as functional design objects. Think clean lines, geometric forms, arches, curves, negative space, repetition and unexpected silhouettes — pieces that feel as much like small-scale architecture as they do ceramics.
Participants will design and handbuild their own ceramic lamp base using slab and sculptural construction techniques, with a focus on proportion, balance, structure and stability.
Glazy Days of Autumn
Glazy Days are designed to help students and members glaze their work in a focused, efficient environment.
Bring your bisqueware, choose your glazes, and work through your pieces with guidance from LOAM staff.
Glazy Days are ideal for course participants who have missed their scheduled glaze class, as well as studio members looking for a little extra guidance, inspiration, or support at the glaze table. Whether you’re glazing a new form, feeling unsure about your choices, or simply suffering from a little glaze paralysis, this is dedicated time to ask questions, explore possibilities, and glaze with more confidence.
