This 6 week course invites you to loosen your grip on perfection and rediscover what made you fall in love with clay in the first place: play.
You’ll learn to explore form, texture and glazes in new, surprising ways. The focus is on curiosity trying, testing, and seeing what happens when you let go of the outcome and lean into process.
Inspired by Emily Dore’s Hidden World series where caps and bases were interchangeable and glazes were swapped to discover new combinations—this class encourages play with glaze layering, inside-outside pairings, and testing unusual combinations. The goal is to discover new glaze results, build confidence in experimentation, and free yourself from the pressure of perfect outcomes.

We recommend a minimum 2-3 Wheel for Beginners or one Wheel 2 class or equivalent.
You should be able to centre consistently without support.
