Kimia is a ceramic artist from Isfahan, Iran, with over seven years of experience in
pottery. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in design at Carleton University,
focusing on the intersection of design and craftsmanship. A graduate of the Art
University of Isfahan with a focus on ceramic design, she has honed her skills in slip
casting, mold making, wheel throwing, and clay sculpting.
Kimia’s journey with pottery began during her university studies, where she was
captivated by clay’s unique ability to transform from raw material into expressive and
functional art. While she enjoys creating a variety of forms, her greatest passion lies in
the creative process—the tactile and transformative experience of working with clay
itself.
As an instructor, Kimia thrives on sharing her love for pottery, inspiring her students to
explore their own artistic potential. She finds immense joy in guiding others and
witnessing the individuality and creativity reflected in their work.
