Big ideas. Muddy hands. Real studio magic.
LOAM’s tween programs are designed for curious, creative kids who are ready for more than craft projects — and excited to learn what it’s really like to work with clay in a working pottery studio.
Whether they’re joining us for a single workshop, a PD day session, March Break projects, or a full week of summer camp, tweens at LOAM get hands-on experience with real tools, real techniques, and real creative problem-solving — all in a supportive, playful environment that celebrates experimentation and individuality.
Some kids come to try clay for the first time. Others come back again and again to build skills, confidence, and bigger ideas.
However they join us, our tween programs offer:
both handbuilding and wheel experiences (age and skill dependent)
thoughtfully designed projects that balance structure and creative freedom
a welcoming studio atmosphere alongside practicing artists and instructors
lots of encouragement to explore, experiment, and make something uniquely theirs
From just-one-time creative adventures to multi-day deep dives, there’s a LOAM clay experience to match every kind of tween energy.
