Throwing elegant nesting bowl sets designed to stack beautifully, feel refined in the hand, and function as sculptural objects on their own.
Over four weeks, students will focus on creating a cohesive series of bowls while developing stronger precision and control on the wheel. We’ll explore proportion, profile curves, rim design, and how to create elevated foot rings that allow each bowl to nest perfectly within the next.
This course is ideal for students comfortable with centering and pulling consistent walls who want to refine their forms and develop a more intentional design language in their work.
The final session will focus on glazing inspired by natural palettes and seasonal atmospheres, from cool winter tones and misty layered surfaces to sunset gradients, earthy summer hues, or your own favorite color memories.
